Benni’s Night at Prospect Theater Project is a Sucess!

MODESTO, CA (Sept. 1, 2020) — On Sunday, August 30, 2020, Prospect Theater Project (PTP) joined forces with two of Modesto’s favorites chefs, Christopher Bonora of Piccolo Benni’s and Paul Tremayne of Concetta, to create a stunning drive-through dinner experience and fundraiser. With the aroma of Chef Bonora’s cooking accompanied by scenic artwork painted by Prospect Theater Project’s Artistic Director, Jack Souza, the theater’s back entrance could have easily been mistaken for a Tuscan neighborhood. In total, “Benni’s Night at Prospect Theater Project” was able to raise approximately $12,000 for the nonprofit theater.

“We strived to make the event memorable while still adhering to the CDC guidelines in order to best protect our patrons and volunteers,” mentioned PTP Board Member, Sarah Aaronson, “This pandemic, while challenging, has presented Prospect Theater Project with new ways to interact with our audience and community. This drive-through fundraiser is an example of the innovative ways we plan on keeping the theater alive during these unprecedented times. PTP will be hosting many of our productions online this year, so our patrons can stay safe while still enjoying the high-quality Prospect Theater Project shows they have grown to love.”

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who came to support PTP in this difficult time,” said Artistic Director, Jack Souza. “ And a special ‘thank you’ to Christopher Bonora for extending his helpful hand in, not only suggesting this fundraiser, but seeing it through to its successful conclusion. We would not be here but for all of you and your gracious support. We miss you here at Prospect and can not wait to have you back to your artistic home.”
